I am using no-ip.com to redirect my dynamic ip and I downloaded the software and bought a domain from them etc so its set up. My webserver and pages are always working when i use my network computers. However it seems to work only 50% of the time from internet computers. Often times from other computers I try to access my webpage and get 425 HTTP errors or old versions of my web page.
Sometimes the browser says the server is contacted, waiting for reply but then it times out.
When i am home i see the no-ip program working in the background, it seems to be working.
I am wondering if no-ip is not properly redirecting my ip address or if its a problem with my server. As of right now people can only access my webpages 50% of the time.
Should i switch to dyndns? Does anyone else have issues with no-ip.com?
could it be a problem with my router?
My router has a section where it asks if i use dyndns but has nothing for no-ip. I wonder if that is the problem.
I am looking for clues as to why the webpage only works 50% of the time on the internet (NOTE server always works on my network, i always can pull up my server web pages from my network computers flawlessly)) So the problem only seems to be internet based.
Thanks for any help offered. |

Check to make sure that your cache is not being used to serve up older web
pages and also your lan IP could have changed. I can help you fix this issue
if you add me to your Windows/MSN Messenger , hope this info helps.

Well try TZO DNS first price on it is $60 but it is well worth it. No-Ip sucks. Oh and in your router you need to forward ports to abyssws and to what ever is your LAN IP .ie 192.168.1.125 but you need to set this ip out of the DHCP range and what i mean by that is you need to set the DHCP range from the default 192.168.1.100 to like 192.168.1.50 and leave the default range of the DHCP it is usually like 50 or something oh and if you need help just email me at johnh.covetedgames@gmail.com or you can visit my site @ Coveted Games which i have hosted by Abyssws _________________ Visit Us here @ Coveted Games |
