|
|
I have a netgear 108mbps wireless router. I am using the wireless connection. I have set up the port forwarding correctly. I can access my website, but no one else can.
What is the problem?
Could it be my wireless connection? |

If you are certain that your port forwarding is set up correctly, your ISP may be blocking port 80. Have you tried running your server on a different port ? |

Are your friends using your external IP address shown here??? http://www.aprelium.com/ip
This the correct one.
Or are they using an IP address that looks something like (http://192.168.xxx.xxx)?
This is only your internal IP. Nobody outside of your network can use this. |

Can you confirm exactly what you have set up as the forwarding rules on your router?
Double checked that XP firewall is not enabled if you're using XP? |

Go to http://www.portforward.com/routers.htm and find your router.
Make sure you are port-forwarding correctly.
We don't really have that much info to go on...
Are they getting any errors? or time-outs? or page not found? |
