i am using abyss to test .shtml and .php pages before uploading.
each time i restart abyss it tells me that the port it used before is in use.
there is only one copy of abyss running.
i am running sygate personal firewall, it can't see any extra tasks either.
i cannot use the "activeports" software recommended because I'm still running W98!
What's going on? |

| Have you seen that port is already in use at the connection details ? |

Yes I have - but it "got better" after reboot, possibly an msconfig problem

| I had the same issue. Rebooting the PC fixed it. I was hoping that it was an isolated incident. |
