Ok, I found the problem. You need to fix a couple variables in your php.ini.
It can be any one of these, so we can change all of them:
session.save_path needs to be changed to C:\PHP\sessiondata
tmp and temp need to be set properly
That should hopefully do it. _________________ Bienvenidos! |

If it isn't in your C:\WINDOWS folder, then you need to download the PHP ZIP file and copy the php.ini-recommended into your C:\WINDOWS directory. _________________ Bienvenidos! |

what do you mean by tmp and temp need to be set properly ?
Here is the tmp section on php.ini:
;session.save_path=/tmp
or do you mean
;upload_tmp_dir=C:\PHP\uploadtemp
My php is installed in C:/PHP
so what is wrong?
I can paste the whole code if u want! _________________ Abyss is Great. Please visit my site at http://coolpagesforum.com

Two things are wrong:
1) Your session.save_path should be C:\path\to\temp\directory
2) Both of those lines are commented. Remove the semicolon. _________________ Bienvenidos! |

That's alright, really. Save Aprelium some bandwidth, and edit your post without the php.ini file. I'll send you mine, and you can use that (as my ZPanel works). _________________ Bienvenidos! |

Maybe you haven't allowed write permissions in the directory you want to upload a file to. Check you FTP Server Settings. _________________ Bienvenidos! |

Sure, you can try it.
http://www.cfxnetworks.com/zpanel/
When you click on the file manager, it won't be able to connect, because I don't have an FTP Account with a username and password "demo." Click the Log out button in the FTP File Manager (the one that looks like an "off" button), follow the link they give you, and log in with the username and password I personal messaged you. _________________ Bienvenidos! |

BulletProof FTP (looks quite similar to FileZilla). _________________ Bienvenidos! |

Yes, you can email me your php.ini file, and I can take a look at it.
Also, email Aprelium at support@aprelium.com your php.ini file along with your abyss.conf file, and tell them a detailed description of what is happening. _________________ Bienvenidos! |

why/how is it that some abyss hosted servers dont need the port number in their url(s) and others do? |

The standard port for http is port 80. When you type http://www.google.com in your browser, your browser will automatically try to connect to port 80 on the google.com webserver. If you change the port your server is running on, you need to append the port number to tell your browser not to try to use port 80. So for example, if google changed their website to run on port 82, you'd have to type http://www.google.com:82 on your browser. |
