|
I have been having trouble getting the mail function to work in php. Just using the bog standard mail command with email address, subject and message, the mail server refuses to accept my email and returns it. I know it is getting sent, but do I need to add any more information like headers for it to be accepted. Any help would save me from tearing more hair out.
Thanks in advance |

You're able to send the same exact message to the same person using your mail server normally instead of a PHP script, right? _________________ Bienvenidos! |

Are you getting any errors returned to you ?
Are you sure you have the correct username/password set for the script ? |

I recieve no errors. My smtp settings are for ntlworld. I then recieve an email from ntlworld telling me that my email was rejected by the mail server I am sending to (in this case it is lycos). It states that possible reasons for this include invalid content |

(My email gets rejected from AOL; and I know why). Companies try to use tight spam policies so users will not get as much spam as they normally would. AOL, and maybe Lycos, holds lists of allowed domains from senders. If your domain is not on the list, your email will get rejected.
I sent a message to AOL; and hopefully I will get a response back someday. _________________ Bienvenidos! |
