Well i think its a PHP problem. When i put files in the "files" folder for people to be able to download it wont show up under the transfer manager. It even shows that the "total space used" is the same as the file i put in there. i just cant see it, nor can other people. |

On second thought this probably has nothing to do with abyss... but when i goto my http://myipaddress it takes me to the place where it should have a list of files i put in the "files" folder in my computer.. right?. But it doesnt. it does however show that there is space being used |

It's ok. Everybody has to start from somewhere.
You are going to have to be a little more specific in your info.
Where is your "files" folder located?
What tutorial did you use?
Are you using PHP Advanced Transfer Manager? |

The files folder is right in side the database folder. The tuitoral im using is called "making a web server" said -The Foreigner at the bottom of it. It told me to unzip "phpatm" from http://phpatm.free.fr into the data base folder. Im guessing the zip contained the files folder i was talking about.
yea im pretty sure im using PHP Advanced Transfer Manager |

I read the installation instructions that came with the script.
It doesn't say anything about a database folder.
Try putting it in your htdocs folder and see it that works. |

i did that. i still have the same problem i had before. you cant download none of the files still. it just says that there is files there... it doesnt show it.... I dont know maybe that wasnt the right route to choose. is there other things i can use to just do file transfers like PHP Advanced Transfer Manager does |

OK. I just installed this baby with no problems.
Here's what you do:
1. Unzip it and rename the folder whatever you want. (for this example, let's name it "transfers".)
2. Copy and paste (or drag) the entire folder into your htdocs folder.
3. Go into include folder and open config.php in a text editor.
4. Change this:$homeurl = "http://www.your_website/transfer";
$domain_name = 'www.your website'; Don't add the http://
$script_folder_path = 'transfers'; 5. Save it and close.
6. Go to http://your_website/transfers in your browser.
7. Login with Admin/test.
8. Change your password.
If you need more help, let me know. |
