I just installed the software and I can't seem to get it to run correctly. All I want out of this is to be able to host some videos I'd like to post for a car forum. I have a friend coming over on saturday who can help, but I'd like to get this thing up quicker. I know my IP, and I gave it to somebody to test, and the connection was refused. Do I need to play with my router to get this to work?
Thanks for holding the laughter and your help. |

Na, questions like this happen a lot.
Yes, it's probobly your router. Can you view the site from your computer? Usually that means its your router or your isp is blocking port 80. If you didn't already, try changing the port of your server then go to http://yourip:yourport.
Also, what brand of router do you have? _________________ New image comming soon...

Router: Netgear (wireless, but I am wired into it)
Yes, I can view the site by using 127.0.0.1, I didn't try using my IP...I'll try it now. It doesn't view if I use the IP. |

Well you should be able to view through your ip even if you have a router. All that does is block requests from other people viewing it. Your sure your viewing your ip? http://aprelium.com/ip . _________________ New image comming soon...

Set up some port forwarding. It will be in the router configuration (I believe for netgear it is 192.168.0.1). Forward port 80 to your internal IP. _________________ Bienvenidos! |
