|
|
All I went the server is to share files with people because its alot more convenient then FTP servers. So I don't need a fancy webpage (yet). I just want it to show the files in the directory. Which it does but it only shows so many. Like it only shows my music archive down to the T's when it should be to the Z's. How do I fix that?
Then will people be able to download files from it using Download Accelerators multiple logins? |

People will be able to use any web downloader to get the files. _________________ Support Team

There are about 6,000 files but alot of them are in folders. So on the main page it shows maybe 1,000 folders and files starting in the A's all the way to the Z's. but when someone views the webpage its only showing to the T's. Everything below is cut off. |

The problem may be that the server run out of memory when generating and sorting the listing because they are so many files at a given level.
Anyway, we will try to recreate the same conditions as yours and we will give you more information about how to do to solve the issue.

Password protection is available in version 1.1 (see http://www.aprelium.com/abyssws/abws11b3.html ). In the console, see Server Configuration > Advanced > User and Groups and Access Control . _________________ Support Team

Thanks
Let me know if you find out how to resolve that other problem. I tried version 1.1 to see if that fixed it but still the same thing. |

Can you please contact us on beta@aprelium.com so that we can send you an email when we have something new about this issue. (Just say "I am Kahless" in the email. That's enough :D )

I'm having a problem figuring out the password thing. I installed version 1.1 and I read through the docs on it but I still can't get it to ask for a password
lets say I keep my files stored in C:\files
and thats the documents path
and lets say for users and groups I have for users
Login: Joe Blow
Password: blewup
Then I would want to go to access control and only give access to people with that user/password but no one else. How exactly would I set that up? |

You should go to 'Users and Groups' and add the user Joe Blow with its password. Then go to 'Access Control', press add and declare the enter '/' as the virtual path to protect, and choose the user Joe Blow in the 'Allow Access to'. That's it. _________________ Support Team

What do you mean by "can't access the cgi-bin"? Do the browser asks you for your password? _________________ Support Team
