|

i know its a wierd question but i need to be able to install multiple versions of abyss on my computer.
why you say? because i need to package the server with a php script and alot of the people using it wron't be very handy with webservers etc so i need to be able to create an installer that will unpackage abyss, and php preconfigured to run the way i want it to
could you tell me what registry keys and/or system files are modified so that i could set them manually (and through the installer)?
i supose that this is a question only aprelium can answer but i thought it might be interesting for other people _________________ and remeber kids! keep the forums clean! |

All the Abyss files and configuration settings are installed into whatever directory you point the installer to so in theory you can just set up the correct conf file, zip it up and away you go.
The registry keys are under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\AbyssWebServer and only cover the Install_Dir - just tried deleting this and running Abyss and it seems fine.
But...
You have of course already emailed Abyss and the PHP authors to get permission to distribute the two together in a package ? |

whackaxe,
The free license of Abyss Web Server gives you only the right to redistribute the official package of the software. Making your own package (based on files you get from an installed version) is not permitted. _________________ Support Team
