whats recommend ? installing this version or the zip version?
im just farting around with abyss 1.6.6,php and perl5.6.1. just curious.
also which one do you recommend for perl as well ? as you dont state it in the perl install page , but you do in php's install.

The ZIP version of PHP is the full version and contains all the extensions of PHP. But for most scripts, all these extensions are not required so your can live with the Installer version of PHP (which takes less disk space).
We recommend using the latest Perl version but there are no real differences between Perl 5.6 and 5.8: some bug fixes and some internal enhancements.
But our advice is to upgrade to Abyss 1.2 :idea:

thanks aprelium......managed to install perl and php with ease again....within 10 mins 5 mins each ;p :lol:
must check out 1.2 of abyss any difference between that and 1.6.6?
