|
|
I have just installed Abyass Web Server, and a few of my friends have asked me to host them. The only problem is, how am I supposed to establish FTP for them? Is there a program I need, or do I need to download the script.
Anyone help?
Thanks |

You need to download and install an FTP server and set up individual accounts for each of them, pointing to either subdirectories of htdocs or directories which you made elsewhere and set up aliases for in Abyss.
The Filezilla server is nice, simple but powerful. It's only free one I've seen that can run as a proper system service on NT/2K/XP.

filezilla has an ftp server? wow! i've been using their client for almost 8 months now and loving it.
Have you tried serv-u ftp? It's free for personal use and works owesome as a service. easy to use SSL encryption and all the bells and whistles...
