when i tell people to go to my site, they say i can only see the words and little red x's where the pictures should be, is this because maybe i used FrontPage 2000 to create the site? |

Tell your friends to right click the X of the image and go to its properties... Tell them to highlight and copy the images URL and to send it back to you... Once done, post that link here... Good luck :) _________________ Victor B. Gonzalez

Its pretty obvious the actual links are setup incorrectly. Try changing the links as according to how it works for the web... Using either absolute or relative links...
Heres an example using the Aprelium logo... If you right click it and go to properties you see this: http://www.aprelium.com/common/aprlogo.png
That is a web URL compared to the system path you have implemented, so just change the system path to a web URL and you should be all good... Good luck :) _________________ Victor B. Gonzalez

You can't use the real directory you need to use the virtual one. (Shouldn't that be in the htdocs folder? :? )
so if it was in htdocs it would look something like this
http://xxx.xx.xxx.xx/news.png
where the x's are you ip address if you don't have dns service.
(try no-ip if you don't already have your own domain.)

5, 05, 8:58PM some images show up but some don't... right clicking the ones that don't seem to have the right address attached but are not showing... Seems to happen on every page to about 50% of the images...
Well you're 50% closer for sure... Just double check to make sure the images exist in the correct directory... Keep up the good work. Good luck :) _________________ Victor B. Gonzalez

Some images still don't show up.
The URL is the correct one you might want to check to see if the images are in the correct place. |
