I don't remember there being 2 of them running before, is this common? Whenever I startup Abyss, 2 of it run. Does this happen when you add more hosts? I have 3 hosts running.
(I have X2 2.4)

Its the anti-crash feature. They monitor eachother and restart the program if it crashes. A quick forum search would have revealed this.

The two processes architecture was introduced in version 1.2 (in 2003). One is the worker process (the server), the other performs GUI/monitoring tasks and acts as a watchdog for the first.
