ok i am trying to get a favicon working on my site here is what my head part looks like:
Code: |
<html>
<head>
<title>Select which server</title>
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/server stuff/images/images188/red.css">
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://68.55.75.14/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon">
<link rel="icon" href="http://68.55.75.14/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon">
</head>
|
The path to the icon works (http://68.55.75.14/favicon.ico) but it still dosent show up.
Any ideas? _________________ Where have i been? School got heck-tick, had to move half way around the state, then back... and then i had to change jobs, so iv been away for a while :P

Favicons are done by the browser, not the server. So your HTML must be wrong.
Try just putting in a relative path for your favicon. _________________ Yarrt.com - Free Arcade

What browser are you using?
I don't know if the answer will help, but it might do! _________________ Anthony R

hc2995,
Have you cleared your cache and history? Also, if you bookmarked your site
before you added the favicon you may need to delete the bookmark as well. |

hc2995,
Try with another browser. IE7 is too new so there is a great chance to have it still contain bugs.
BYW, the old IE behavior (probably until IE6) was to not download the favicon until you bookmark the page. _________________ Support Team
