Is there any way to activate ports 1-1024 on a mac using terminal? Becuase I have tried by both activating it in my account, and the admin account through the application, but it just says failed.
So is there any way to do it through a Terminal command?
Thanks.

sickmate,
Could you explain us what "failed" means here? Did you got an error message? If so, what is it? _________________ Support Team

It just says once I type in the admin user and password - "Activation of ports 1 - 1024 failed!" and nothing else =\. The login is correct, so I dont know what is wrong really.

Try stopping Abyss Web Server, delete its application bundle (drag Abyss Web Server icon to the trash bin and empty it in Finder). Now copy Abyss Web Server bundle from the original DMG to the folder where Abyss is, restart it, and retry the activation of ports.
Does it work? _________________ Support Team

This could happen if the permissions are manually altered or the if the Abyss Web Server bundle is moved to another location which different permissions after the having allowed ports 1-1024. _________________ Support Team

Ah I have just found out the problem. I first tried what you said, but it still wasn't activating them. But I had installed it on an external hard drive - so I simply copied it to my hard drive. Now its working fine :).
Thanks for your help.

sickmate,
Thank you for your feedback. What is the file system of the external hard drive? Is it formatted as a Windows/DOS drive (using the FAT file system)? _________________ Support Team
