LD Web Content Checker (alias WebConCh) is a tool used to intermittently check for the existence of a string, or lack thereof, in textual web content. It uses GNU WGET to download textual web content.

One of the more interesting things you can do with WebConCh is to check for the availability of free premium RapidShare accounts. The default settings for WebConCh enables you to do just this.

You can also use this program to monitor for a new Abyss release by specifying "More</A></h3><dl><dt>May 31, 2006</dt" in the Alert When Text Not Found field, specifying to poll Aprelium for every 1339 minutes (maximum value for 1 day minus 1 minute to prevent abuse) and, of course, supplying "http://www.aprelium.com/" in the URL field of the program. This scenario has been tested to work as of this writing.
