Hello, i'm just trying out Abyss for the first time. I have installed php for the server as directed... and I used the mySQL installer to install mySQL.
I was trying to install phpBB and got the following error:
An error has occurred during installation
The PHP configuration on your server doesn't support the database type that you chose
any ideas? feel free to contact me on aim

i downgraded to php 4 and now it says it can't connect to database :-S

i just noticed that the phpinfo doesn't wanna show...

but it didn't help, i still can't see my php info, and now i get this when i try to install phpBB:

GaBeRz,
This error message usually means that you have not configured PhpBB with the correct MySQL connection details (user/password/IP or domain name of the MySQL database server) or that your MySQL database server is refusing connections.
So have you installed MySQL? Are you using the right MySQL user/password in the PhpBB configuration? _________________ Support Team

yes i have... i got the green light at the taskbar from mysql.. plus i can connect to it using mySQL administrator and phpMyAdmin
so i don't think that's the prob... |
