hi-
i did send an email to standard support.
while i am waiting though i have been doing some testing.
i noticed i can do a net send computername hello
but i can not do a
net send 127.0.0.1 hello
i get a message that says message alias not found on network
i read something about 127.0.0.1 being a loopback address
and that you can even install a loopback adapter.
does any of that help diagnose the problem or am i just lost as usual when it comes to networking anyways.
thanks-- jim |

You can enable/disable the windows loopback, but I just cant think where right now =S
As it seems you dont have it, search microsoft.com for the loopback adapter driver etc. _________________
