i am using port forwarding and therefore my local ip changing is a serious problem, i searched and found a thread on creating the static local ip but i couldnt connect to the web after that. Can anybody help me n making sure that my 192.168.0.2 stays like that- or a way to update my router to the ip.
my router is.netgear wireless adsl firewall router dg834g

I wrote a guide for Windows 9x on setting up a static IP but this could work the
same way on a NT Operating System , if you need further help , add me to your
MSN/Windows Messenger and I will be more than heppy to help you.

my problem is- is that in my ipconfig it tells me my dns server is 192.168.0.1 which, i know isnt right but i tried it anyway and it of course didnt work.
So i dont know what to do in the dns part of network connections.

Thats what I thought was your problem , add me to your messenger and lets
get this server up and running for you. 99.9% of the times I fix users server
issues but their is always that 1% that has to do with the DNS. LateR! |
