Im using Abyss webserver X1 with PHP 5.0.4 and MySQL 4.1 to run a Invision Power Board (v2.0.3).
It works fine for a long time then eventually the entire fourm stops working. My php test page ("<?phpinfo()?>") located outside the forum folder still loads.
I then tried to restart abyss, but when i opend it back up it cannot listen on the default port.
In the task manager many instances of PHP_CGI.exe running (about 17).
Any help will be appreciated. |

I think, from what you are saying, PHP_CGI.exe has crashed. Instead of closing itself, it simple starts another. Then when it stops working, you may of run out of memory.
I would try downloading PHP again (possibly downgrading to v4) and trying it then.

Speaking of PHP v5 , I got MySQL v4.1 to work on PHP v5 but their is one
slight problem , phpBB does not want to install on a machine with PHP v5.
I brought this up so you know , I proved that v5 is crap :/ |

I cant get phpBB to install on v4 let alone v5! I just dont know what I am doing wrong.
