|
|
Hi there, I just installed the abyss web server, Mysql, php admin etc, but I cannot access any websites that are pointed to my IP Address. It just comes up with a login screen???!!!.
I was able to install the abyss web server on my computer when I had dialup, and there was no login screen, now that I have Adsl it shows a log in screen. I am thinking that my adsl connection has something to do with it??? Im not so sure,
Please Help :(
Thanks in Advance,
Zora :)
P.S
I am using Zone Alarm and PC Cillan.
I am guessing that I may have to configure Zone Alarm, If I do, how do I open the ports in it without opening myself up to security risks.
Thanks Again |

Did you read anything on the login screen? It is going to be the login screen for your router. Search the forum for port forwarding or loopback. This has been covered so many times before... |

My login screen doesnt show anything, I am using D-Link DSL 320G.
Iread tutorials to forward the port, but when I type in my ip address it still shows up a login screen which is bloody annoying. |

Then look in the manual for your D-Link DSL 320G, find the default username and password for the router, then login...
If you mean you've already done this, set up port forwarding correctly and then when you use your public IP you still get your routers login screen, your router does not support loopback. You'll need to use your lan IP to access your site but give others the public IP. |
