Have you correctly configured the SMTP parameter in your php.ini? |

Then you were rather foolish to expect sending mail to work. Configure it to use your ISPs mailservers, disable the SMTP PM notification in IBP or install and configure a local mailserver.
Search the forum for details on setting up PHP with SMTP, it's been covered a thousand times... |
