Ok, I;ve searched through the forum MANY times and yet to find a deinfate answer on how to setup a SMTP server on my computer. Here is what I need: I need a VERY EASY free and simple SMTP server. All I be needing it for is sending mail. Also I need to be able to run it off localhost in my PHP.ini file, meaning I want my PHP to communicate with the SMTP server. I already have an SMTP able e-mail address, but it requires authentaction, so the SMTP server also needs to be able to handle authentaction also.
Also if you could spoon feed me the answer :)? HTat would be very appricative, but if you just tell me the answer I could PROBABLY understand it. Ty in advance,

What do you mean? All I would like to do is set my smtp address in my PHP.ini file to localhost and have my SMTP server run off of localhost. I will be just using this to send mail from my site, for instance, one of my scripts that I downloaded uses the PHP mail function to send people there password if they forget it. Ty for the fast reply _________________
