That is interesting. I got the URL of the image, and after pasting it in my browser it worked. However, when viewing it in the forum, they are broken.

Anyway, to answer your question, the ODBC driver means nothing. It just means you do not have ODBC installed (which you do not need to run MySQL).

I dont know wat it is, I dont remember installing it o.O wat is it?

I don't have Windows 98, so I can't answer for sure.
However, I do know that ODBC is usually a component that is installed with Windows automatically.

"(ODBC) A standard for accessing
different database systems. There are interfaces for
Visual Basic, Visual C++, SQL and the ODBC driver pack
contains drivers for the Access, Paradox, dBase, Text,
Excel and Btrieve databases."

The ODBC driver was probably not configured with MySQL properly, and therefore MySQL cannot interact with it.

Basically, it isn't really a big deal.

I'm sure the MySQL site has some information on getting them to interact; but why do you want to? If you're just doing it for the satisfaction of seeing "ODBC Driver Found Successfully" then you have too much time on your hands... :)

The default database name is "mysql" (if you haven't changed anything). Try that.
