is it possible to connect to the internet using the service funcion in windows 2000/xp so the computer will be connected to the internet at the welcome screen.
If so how would i do it,

If you mean run Abyss as a service so it's available before you login, check here :

This assumes you have broadband/cable or some other kind of Always on connection. If you have dialup and want that to dial up as well, you'll need to look elsewhere... |

It depends. If you have Dial-Up, then no.
If you have Cable, then you are connected from the beginning (so yes).
If you have DSL, then maybe. DSL comes in many "flavors." If you have SDSL or any other variety, then yes. If you have ADSL, then maybe. If your ADSL is anything else than a PPPoE, then yes. If it is PPPoE, then maybe. If you use a router, then yes. If you don't, then no.
It's interesting how that filters down like that.
It doesn't matter if you didn't understand all of those terms. Just ask your ISP what kind of internet you have, and they will tell you. _________________ Bienvenidos! |
