| why does console ID/pw prompt show instead of my welcome page? I asked one of my buddies to try and access my server by typing in my IP plus the port number, which is set to 8080, and he says the console prompt comes up. I set my router (linksys) to forward port range 8000 to 8080 to my LAN address on both the TCP and UDP protocols already. I thought my welcome page was supposed to come up? if you could.. help please |

Are you sure you gave him the right port number? Are you sure he/she's getting the "Abyss Web Server Console" message in the dialog asking for the password?
