You should have something where you can point your user that you created to a certain folder. Btw, I though that chmod didn't work for Windows? _________________ New image comming soon...

CHMOD is a Unix/Linux server command function that does not work on Windows.
If you want to change read/write permissions, just right-click a file and go into properties.
Generally, this is not needed.
For more info...do a search in this forum for "chmod". |

H4V3NS4C,
Most script authors assume that your site is hosted by a web hosting company, that's why they tell you to upload the files (because you can't be physically near the server of your hosting company).
In your case, the server is on your computer, so only drag-and-drop the files in the right directories. There is no need to uploading.
Chmod instructions are also specific for UNIX systems. If you are running Windows, ignore them. _________________ Support Team

great thanks for all the replies guys i really appreciate it. Now i thought that would be the case to drag and drop but for some silly reason this wont recognize the files that i drop into it. im not sure how else to do this. I only wont to change the skin on the board lol. such a task. oh well nevermind. also i get errors though when i try to install phpnuke then i realized that i need to chmod files but obviously that cant be it neither has anyone else used one of these sites on their servers! |
