found out why php wouldn't work

I've been trying to get php to work for a few hours and just figured out why it wouldn't work. I created a php file, then tried opening it by right clicking it->open with->internet explorer. This wouldn't work at all. Of course, I then realized i had to access it through the server. Typed in localhost/index.php and voila it worked. :oops: :oops: :oops:

just in case anyone else is having a problem, make sure you're not making a stupid mistake like i did

yes and you must make index.php to your index file too
