My Abyss Web Server runs completely fine, for a while. The time is never the same, but after a while, it just dies. All I have to do is restart the Web Server, and thigns are fine once again, and everything is up and people can access my web site again.

Though, I run an online game, and this has become a problem. Players being kicked off my game in the middle of their session is not good for the welfare of my site, so I want to find out how to stop Abyss Web Server from doing this. It IS possible that the problem resides in my computer, and not in the server, and even if that is the case, any help would be appreciated.

I am running Windows XP home, Hewlett Packard computer. Abyss Web Server version X1. I connect to the internet with a cable modem, and my web site is http://www.spacedomination.com

If you need any more information, just ask. Thanks for the help.

When I go to "About Abyss Server" it tell me:
Abyss Web Server version X1

I just recently downloaded it, so the latest, I'm sure.

Please open the Help menu in the Main Window of Abyss Web Server (double click on Abyss icon in the tray) and select About Abyss Web Server. You'll see more information about the version number there (something like "Abyss Web Server version X1 (version 1.1.2)" for example).

Sorry about being so dim-witted. It says Abyss Web Server X1 Update 1 (v 1.1.6)

We did many stress tests with Abyss 1.1.6 and it was able to handle continuous load (at more than 100 requests/sec) for more than 24 hours without any problem.
Do you have some network utilities/hardware that may interfere with Abyss Web Server and cause the problem?

That is the thing. I believe that I may have something doing this to the web server, but at the same time I have no idea what might be causing it, and how to find out what is. That is where I was hoping that you guys could come in, giving me some idea of how to fix this. Thanks for taking an interest in my problem.

I guess I will open this to everyone on the board, not merely question aprelium. Does anyone know of software or hardware that conflicts with Abyss Web Server X1 (version 1.1.6)??

I am having a similar problem... It pops up a windows critical error dialog... Abyssws has performed an illegal function... I can't figure out what is occuring...

The Details...
Abyss X1 v 1.1.6
Windoze 98 4.10.1998
Only two other programs running on the server:
Ceasar FTP and MySql

The computer is a pentium 166 (a little slow, but works well thus far...)

I'm baffled....
