I downloaded and installed the Abyss Web Server. If I go to http://192.168.0.1/, th "Welcome to Abyss Web Server" page comes up but I cannot open the site in frontpage. I get this error:
"The folder http://192.168.0.1/ isnt accessible. The folder may be located in an unavailable location, protected with a password, or the filename contains a / or \." |

He was only trying to help.. Sheeesh!
Why open from an IP Address? 0.0
The reason 192.168.0.1 either because it's 192.168.1.1 being the hardware assigning you an address (probably DSL modem).
try 192.168.1.100 if your the only one on your network.
More info about what the heel your trying to do would be nice. :) |

Thanks for your help....a server must have the Frontpage extensions to be able to open it as a web in Frontpage. Abyss is working great!
MrWiseOne-not sure what you're "Sheeesh"ing about but I was polite in my post.
Thanks,
Brian |
