Any computer/server is hackable, its how hard you make it that counts. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

I suggest that you put up a for-hackers' info page that contains something like this:
Quote: | To hackers, it is ok for you to hack, attack my pc and remove its contents as long as you directly target my IP address which is 127.0.0.1. Thank you. |
Funny, 'no? Actually, there's a long story about a noob hacker who really attacked his/her own machine and erased its contents using a DOS/nuking program, all the while believing that he/she was attacking the PC of someone whom he/she had a fight with at a public chatroom. _________________

Same thing happened to me a while ago. Some skiddie asked for my IP-address, and I gave him 127.85.223.95. Every address beginning with 127 will point to your local computer. |

Use Nessus to scan for security holes.
I use www.testadatorn.se (Swedish site which uses Nessus) to test my own security. Not sure if it's avaliable outside of sweden though.
*Edit
Use this link to start a test on your computer:
https://www.testadatorn.se/orderservlet
After about 7-8 minutes, you'll have the result and some advanced information about the scan.
Here's the most common security problems, Apache is pretty high on the list ;-)
