I have been using Abyss with php and perl support without any hassle. However I tried to use Abyss with some executable cgi files, written using C, and IE kept on trying to download the file instead of executing it.

WebGui folder is in 'htdocs' and all the cgi files are inside a cgi-bin subdirectory.

May I know what I did wrong? I searched through the forum, and it's written that I have to add in 'CGI Path', but I cannot find this option in the console.

I have activated 'Resolve Interpreter from the Windows Registry' in 'CGI Parameters', and added 'index.cgi' in 'Index Files'. What have I missed out?

"CGI Path" was present in Abyss Web Server 1.x. In the new versions (2.x), this table has been renamed to "Script Paths".

So if your C compiled files are in /cgi-bin, and if their names end with .exe, you'll have to add /cgi-bin/*.exe to the "Script Paths" table. You can also turn off "Resolve Interpreter from the Windows Registry" as has no effect on .exe files.
