Hello I installed Aprelium free version about 2 hours ago. I have been viewing the console for a while but need help on how to find my ip address, BUT its not that simple. When I click Start>Run>"ipconfig" it opens the console but then suddenly closes. This happens on all computers in my network. Notice I said network, because I have a network all web sites or sources outside my network shows my "ip address" but it is not working. I can view my site locally from the 127... ip that this program locally runs. So because of this I know my site is working I just need help on being able to get my site to the public. I will view this topic as much as I can so please help me; I know this community is great so I have high expectations. Thank you.

First of all, could you please read the forum rules and as of this post, try and follow them. Similar questions to this have already been asked.

To use IP config go to Start > Run > Type 'cmd' (with no 's) then type 'ipconfig' (no 's again) in the command window that opens.

I take it you have a router so you will need to port forward port 80 from your router to the PC running Abyss. So it will generally be 192.168.xx.xx for your PC. You can get information on doing this to your router at www.portforward.com.

To find out your internet IP, go to www.abyssunderground.co.uk/ip.

Some ISP's block port 80 so if it doesnt work when you give the URL to someone else, try another random port, say 28374. Also your router may not support loopback which can also cause problems. This is where people can see your site via your internet IP but when you type it in you get a page cannot be displayed error.
