#2003 - The server is not responding ...Why?

Okay I have done a search on the forum unsuccesfully. I have been using the abyss web server now for about a month at the same time as installing abyss i installed mysql and everything was working perfectly. Last night I shut down my computer as per norm and this morning when i switched it back on i received this error when i tried to get to my site

phpBB : Critical Error

Could not connect to the database

In order to see what was happening i tried getting into phpadmin and got the error that is the title of my topic. I have not touched or tweaked anything what so ever with regards to either my server, mysql or php.
The only thing that happened last nite was that my automatic windows updates were installed, but i dont think this was a problem as my server and mysql were working fine after i rebootred after the update. I have gone into
database/mysql/bin/winmysqladmin.exe and brought up the console and it is showing a red light for the first time ever. (it normally starts up automatically when i turn my pc on)
in the console under the environment tab there is a header MyOBDC and in the window underneath ir says
Not found
Driver 3.51 not found.

Does any one have any idea what's happened? And any idea how to sort it?

Ok i have solved it and boy do i feel like a palooka :roll:
i went into run typed in msconfig brought up the system configuration utility went to services and found mysql unchecked. Something has goten in there and turned it off, any way i managed to turn it on and it seems to be working now. Panic over :D
