I want to create some nice website backgrounds and banners to make my website look nicer. What are some tools or programs you use to do that? Also what webpage editor programs are you using? I have NVU which is a free program right now, but am thinking of getting dreamweaver8. Thanks for the help.

I use my lovely(and too expensive) Adobe Photoshop 7.0 for my graphics and Notepad for all my codes.

If you want a free program to make your graphics with you could search google for The Gimp. I've heard it's pretty good and that it's been ported to run on windows :)

The GIMP comes free with Linux, just like OpenOffice does. Its a shame good software doesnt come like that for Windows too often :-(

I know OpenOffice is ported to windows... I've used it myself when I had to write a report(which had to be in .doc format) for a project I was put on about a year ago.
