My site is located at http://physx.dyndns.tv
I also need some feedback.
How fast was the pageload? (In seconds, minutes, ect.)
Any problems? (Except 404 Not Found Errors, not completly done with it.)
Of course, any other feedback would be great.
It should load decent, because it is just text, mostly. However, that is just me testing it locally and I need to see if it is the same thing with other people not on my network.
Thanks!
(P.S I know I had another site, but I lost it in a reformat.) |

Excellent site. Takes less than 3 seconds to load that includes connnecting time, under 1 second once connected. NTL 2Mbps broadband, UK. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

Sorry for double post, but I need to know..
Direct Link.
http://img355.imageshack.us/img355/4171/echo29pb.png
How can I get information there? Like when a person clicks on a link, (Ex. Clicks the "News" section.) it will show where I had circled or rectangled area. At first I was considering pop-ups to show the content, but then I thought, people sometimes have pop-up blockers.. Then I thought iframes, but then I thought again, it is a bad to use iframes. Is there a way to do it in PHP? I know there is, it is just that I don't know how to do it. Any help to accomplish this will help.
Thanks. |

You need to go over your code and find out how to do it in the HTML. Once youve done that your sorted. PHP does nothing special to pages, it just renderes the HTML. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

I love the design, the encrypted (HASHED?) text in the background looks great.
The page, at the moment, loads pretty fast.
If you plan to make the site bigger/open to the public later on, and you are using a HASH function for the background, I would remove it and replace it with a transparent (or black-background) repeating GIF image.
Using a hash and having many people connect at the same time will really slow down the server. Too many at one time (or a DOS attack) may easily crash the server. _________________ - Jim |

A DOS attack will bring down and possibly crash a server anyway, no matter what types of images etc you use. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

Not necessarily.
I was hinting at the action of uploading to a hosting service later on, should he take that action.
Many hosting services can withstand small DOS attacks, some have routers set up to block even large-scale DOS attacks.
I was just stating that using a HASH command to fill in blank spaces when many are connecting will slow down the service significanly. _________________ - Jim |

I can DOS a small website such as his and bring it down easily. All I have to do is saturate his upload capacity. Once ive done that no-one can access the website, or if they can it will be so slow youd get bored of waiting. I know this because ive done it on numerous occasions before. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

*Smiles* :)
Anyway I think I fell in love at first site! Hahah, site...
It loads under a second for me on my 512/265 Kbp/s connection (includes connecttime etc.). I live in Australia. Also I assume your connection is 1 Mbps or higher with an upload speed of 512 since I had recoordinate my self from the image loading so dam fast 1 minute for a 100 KB png well done.. well done... |

Thank you for your input. Also, nice guess, you guessed right on my upload speed.
Also, I have been thinking about what you said, The Inquisitor, I don't need php. You will see of what I have done when I finish the site.
techieJimbo, I am not using a Hash Function, I merely just used a random set a numbers and letters and also dark colors, making of what it is now. Like I said before my site is all text. I made it like that to make people wonder what it means, when it all means nothing.
Well, I have no thought about the DoS thing. All I know is that it can crash servers and/or make sites slowly load. Causing loss in hits and others.
Thanks for input guys! Really helps me. |

Oh, it is probably because I am downloading/uploading things on my computer. This causes congestion, allowing little bandwith to my site, and other things. (Browsing, ect..) Sorry for the inconvenience. Should be loading at normal in a few days or more. |

Err, I knew this would happen. So, I took affirmative action..Removed the whole design. I am currently in the making of another template or site. No, I am not going to rip a website. I knew this was going to happen, but I didn't expect it to happen this early in the stage. |
