When i log into phpmyadmin, I am getting the following error:
The mbstring PHP extension was not found and you seem to be using a multibyte charset. Without the mbstring extension phpMyAdmin is unable to split strings correctly and it may result in unexpected results.
how do I correct this?

Install or enable the mbstring PHP extension, which was not found :/

yes I have. I am not new to forums thank you, I do know the rules!
I have downloaded the custom php5 and am still getting the same error
