Hi all,
I have gone through one of two threads already about getting Mysql and PHP to work etc.,
I can get into the db fine from command line but now through webservices, my problem seems to be that php.ini does know/like the mysql install.
if I try and invoke $con = mysql_connect("localhost","xxxx","yyyy")
I get the same failure message:
<b>Fatal error</b>. Call to underfined funtion mysql_connect() in ......
I have copied the libmysql.dll into /php which is path'd up correctly (as is the mysql/bin directory).
I have edited the php.ini (in /windows) and uncommented out support for mysql and restarted the PC (rebooted actually!)
I can run mysql -u xxxx -p from anywhere and be presented with a password, after which I get into the mysql shell
Oh phpinfo() cannt see anything except that mysql is in the systempath
any ideas? _________________ Red Alert Sir? You know that would mean changing the lightbulb! (RedDwarf) |

PS: Your red dwarf quote, its slightly wrong (im a RD fan myself :-) ) it should be: "Sir, are absolutely sure? It does mean changing the bulb" *audience laughs*

Your a star!
Many thanks, just had to repoint the web server for the php-cgi path and restarted - works a treat!
and thanks for the RD correction - just shows how much you rely on the old grey matter (would recommend a few beers, followed by back to back D this weekend - not forgetting the Vindaloo though!)
Many thanks again _________________ Red Alert Sir? You know that would mean changing the lightbulb! (RedDwarf) |
