I have been hearing alot about routers, I have one, but it isn't connected, so do I need to have a router in order for the web server to work, or can I just use my Cable modem? |

No, You dont need a router. (I dont thonk) The resaon why there are so many posts about Routers are because there are so many people who have trouble port forwarding and some dont support loopback:
Port Forward: Forwaring a Public port to you computer (ip address)(Private Port)
Loopback: You can view your own site but the public can.
I hope this helps. |
