phpmyadmin help

hello. i have a problem with phpmyadmin.
i have followed the tutorial on trustabyss.com but whe i conect to http://127.0.0.1/phpadmin the tutorial say that i shuld press the privileges button but there are no buttons at all.
the only thing on the page is

That error means that MySQL was not running when PhpMyAdmin tried to connect to it.

Next time, it would help much more if you post the complete error message.
It's hard to remember all error codes. Normally, the message itself tells you
exactly what's wrong. ;)

that is not the problem.
the problem is the page.
the tutorial said that i should not care about the error, and press the privileges button.
But there are no buttons.
and ie say that the page is broken, or something like that

Forget about the privileges button. That's the least of your worries.
You need to get phpmyadmin to work before you see any buttons.

Is mysql running? Look in your Task Manager to make sure.
You should see mysqld.exe or mysqld-nt.exe in the list.

What version of MySQL are you running?
What are getting when you try to go to phpmyadmin?
