So I got a domain name at GoDaddy (or rather someone else got it for me). I have my website hosted on my own server which is access via a dynamicdns address. so for example, my website is at http://someplace.dyndns.org:9555/baseball/index.html
I want my domain name (say someplace.com) to redirect to my website. So if someone types in "someplace.com", they see the page "http://someplace.dyndns.org:9555/baseball/index.html". If someone types in "someplace.com/folder1/index.html" they see "http://someplace.dyndns.org:9555/baseball/folder1/index.html".
I assume I should do all this under the "forwarding setup" page at godaddy.com. While there, there is a palce to put in my server address and an option to "mask domain". If I mark "mask domain", the title and meta tags for all pages are masked. Not what i want! If I uncheck mask domain, then visitors are REDIRECTED to my site and it shows my site address instead of someplace.com.
What do I do? |
