Once you put some users on your server, how do they login? Also, is there any way that I could use Perl to make a register script that will automatically put the user in the database? Finally, once the user is in the database, is it possible for him or her (via scripting or whatever) to edit his or her password automatically?

Thanks in advance

For a tutorial on how to have password protected directories, please read http://www.aprelium.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=544 .

Yes, you can do so. But you have to do it all in Perl. That means that your Perl script will manage a database of users (independant from the small database of Abyss Web Server) and will use standard HTTP protocol to restrict access to some scripts. You can find many tutorials on how to do this in the Internet or in Perl books as this is not specific to Abyss Web Server but it is a standard feature that should be available in any web server.
