Used to work, but not now

I used to have windows xp pro and abyss worked perfectly on it. At one point I had to downgrade to windows 98 se, still it worked just fine. But now I have windows xp home sp2, and it won't work.

I have a router but it stayed configured during the change between pro and 98, so I don't think that is the problem. I have tryed turning off my firewall, which is avast 4.6 home edition, but even when I turned it off abyss still didn't work.

I have tried alot of stuff, I have been searching these forums for problems like mine for 2 days. If you find a problem like mine plz post it.

Make sure the Windows firewall is switched off and also make sure that the LAN IP of your computer is the same as the one in your router for the port forwarding.
