At long last! My upload speed is now 128 kbps insted of 64 and they siad 5 days 5 hours! They also upgraded my download speed from 256 to 512. =)
Nothing special to anyone else but to me almost a miracle lol. |

To have a website running at 16 KB/s is better than nothing at all, you use to
have a 1 KB/s website speed, so im also happy for you. Just keep the content
small and you shouldn't have many problems with this new uprade.

Calculate your upload rate Vs. the File sizes you want to share on your server
and you will see how long it would probably take to download that file. I wrote
this PHP script just for you chappy426, and for others of course.
How long will it take ? :-)

He lives in sweden so he can get 100Mbps quite easily through one line. Isnt it only 10Mbps upload though? Still, 10Mbps is better than 0.2Mbps I get.

100000/(100000/8) = 8. I think the math is a little wrong.
And did you mean Kilobits or Kilobytes per second? Either way it's technically wrong.

Actually, ADSL2+ has a top limit of about 25mb/s as far as I know. He'd have to have bonded lines to archive 100mb/s for £25/month. (And still, that company is insane.)

Bonded DSL is getting pretty popular, and is a lot cheaper than a leased line.

will you actually be downloading at , Kilobytes right ?

It needs a specially designed modem as far as I know. I'd get it if I had the money.

Err, whatever I decide to measure it in?
I'm not sure how many people know that case matters in kilobits/bytes, could be worth typing it out fully. (And last I heard, 100000/100000 was 1?)

That's kinda exactly what I was trying to say. 100000/(100000/8=12500)=8. 8 Seconds.

I fixed it, now you can tell what Kilobyte is. The script has also been changed
to show Download Rate instead of Upload Rate. I also added some directions
for converting your Server Kilobits speed to Kilobytes speed. LateR!

I understand what you're saying, I know the difference between bit units full well. All I was trying to say was that you should put kilobyte instead of kB etc. You've gone into it FAR too much.
