I just installed the new Abyss Web Server Version 2.0.6.
Quite to my surprise and using the help forms (thanks)
I set everything up!!
however in the last version there was a cgi-bin and this none......I know
I was able to run cgi... php etc in htdocs in the last version....simply this was done through the server config.....why no cgi-bin now? or am I missing something?
Thanks

There was never a CGI-BIN. All CGI scripts have to be configured through the abyss console under Scripting Parameters. The file can be put anywhere rather than a set CGI-BIN.

so that I am clear.........
the browser will only be directed to what is in the htdocs folder
and it's not possible to set up a folder and direct the browser to
http://mysite/cgi-bin/

You can create a cgi-bin if you wish but it will have no added or loss of fuctionality

Sorry to correct you but earlier versions did have a "cgi-bin" folder , you
don't really need this folder anymore because of the new Patterns thing.
