I am looking for a new idea, to base my website on.

this is so easy.... just start a website about your favorite pasttime (sports/movies/books..whatever)
People with your interests will visit your site and you will probably become friends with them seeings how you have the same interests.
An example would be this forum right here! All of us here have an interest in web servers (i would think so)..... Just stick to what you like instead of trying to please other people. I found that a forum for me and my friends has been sucessfull. |

The hit counter doesn't normally count you (at least not everything you send)... there is only a total of about 75 hits from Sweden last time i checked.
Oh, and back on topic here. What if you don't have any interests? :P |

What should I make a website about is like buying a typewriter and asking "Hey, what novel should I write?" - if you don't have any ideas, hobbies, interests, tips to share, whatever, don't write anything. There are enough crappy half finished pointless websites out there as it is...

Such "weak" attacks are only conducted by people with no lives and who dream about motherboards.
And if a DDoS showed up in a HTTP server log, I'd start to think I did it wrong.

True... but does it actually log it? Does the server have a chance to log it!? Whats good is that apache actually dies when being DDoSed, abyss doesnt :-)

Well, you know, ou could turn it into an informational site for people who want information on the brand New X2, complete with Control Panel... Or make it an e-mail server, and charge for e-mail accounts.
Or, you can turn it into another Abyss Underground server, and actually have something on it that deals with the "Underground"...
