Hi,

I intalled abyssws on my Fedora core box the thing is that after disabling iptables service and issuing the command ./abyssws I recive and arror :

default host on port 80 has a listening problem (local url http://127.0.0.1)

consol local url: http://127.0.0.1:9999

but whan I browse to
http://127.0.0.1:9999
I can log in and there I see "default host on port 80 lisening error and I have 2 buttons :start and configure.

if I scan this host on port 80 fron another machine i recive port closed

Is it normal?

thanks

Juan

Chances are Apache is running as I think it is pre-installed. Stop/un-install apache then try again.

Linux dosn't let anything non-root to use port numbers less than 1024

so you will have to configure abyss to use a port above 1024 (8080 is a good one), or search the forums to install abyss to allow it to use port 80

a quick search would give you these two posts:
1. http://www.aprelium.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4484
2. http://www.aprelium.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2443

a couple of posts down is one called Unable to log ... only as root which also explains the answer
