I finally got the server portion to work, and people can see the home directory. When click on a file or I send them a link, all dont work except for an html page. I checked the log file, heres what it has for when it doesn't work:
67. is my server, 69 is friends ip

That's pretty wierd - you can access the site, browse to the New Folder directory, start loading the image, then get "Document cannot be displayed because it contains errors" or similar.
I was assuming that you weren't sending them a full link, e.g http://yourip:8083/New%20Folder/P5201748.JPG, but when you browse to it manually, it still doesn't work. Wierd.
Using a download manager,
Quote: |
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator.THEPLAGUE>wget http://67.20.232.x:8083/New%20Folder/P5201748.JPG"

Looks like you have some network problems, or a wierd and wonderful firewall? _________________

I think i've figured out part of the problem. When I change the dmv server setting in my router from my other web server to this server, it works. The problem is that I want to have both servers at once. |

It's still exactly the same at the moment... Taken 11 resumes just to get to 12% of that large jpeg file.
By dmv setting, do you mean DMZ? You could just use port forwarding to forward a port to each server... _________________

Sorry, yea I meant dms, must have been a typo. I have ports 8083 and 8081 forwarded to each respective server, altough it still doesn't work. |
