i dl the phpMyAdmin-2.3.2-php3.zip because i read u need this to access MYSQL.
i installed mysql in my "C" drive "c:\mysql"
so how do i install phpMyAdmin-2.3.2-php3.zip ? where do i unzip the file? |

jsut in your htdocs dir, phpmyadmin is just a webpage, but with that "webpage" you can access your mysql :) _________________ !Keys || MwM^computerware |

The only good advice is to read the phpMyAdmin installation documentation. It is available in the ZIP file and from the download location of that script. _________________ Support Team

In that documentation is a lot of bullsh*t, the main thing is: put the file in your htdocs dir.

!Keys is right, it is a lot of bull to read, but try to read it anyway - one of these days. :lol:
Also, I used the Abyss Console to password-protect the "phpmyadmin" directory. It was advised to do this to prevent unauthorized access to this page. You might wanna do that too, after you've installed the phpmyadmin folder into your htdocs folder. _________________ DLashley |

i tryed to password protect but no one can access it now not even me its not poping up and asking for username and password...
i just get my error page
i want to make it so when i try access the foler it pops up a window where i type username and password to access and then i can have user groups or something so that i can give each user access to there own databases and let them create there own databases if then need more etc |

Delete your cookies, and reload or reboot. You should get the pop up asking for username/password then. That happened to me once, and that's how I fixed it. :) _________________ DLashley |
