I'm relatively new at this, but have done alot of reading lately, so I'm kinda getting the general idea about dns. I just registered my domain name at godaddy, set up my nameservers on zone edit and set them on the godaddy domain maintenance page. I want to use abyss to host my site, so how do I associate it with my domain name? I'm sorry if this a repeat but I've read alot of posts and this seems to get glossed over (or maybe I'm overlooking a really simple solution). Any help with this would be much appreciated (also, I'm running X1). |

Well, it seems to me that you can ask questions. You seem to have earned it.
After designating your nsxx.zoneedit.com, you want to go to Zoneedit.
Click "Edit Zones" or make a zone for your domain.
Get www.yourdomain.com to point to your IP.
Bang.
Any other questions? |

Hmm, I did that already too... I guess I thought there was something you had to configure on the actual webserver... anyway, I'm still in wait mode with the zone edit nameservers so I'll check it in a couple days and let you know if its working.
Thanks! |
